Something mysterious happened 2000 years ago

in a small town

a few miles south of Jerusalem.

A Stable became a delivery room.

Angels sang to simple shepherds.

A shining star brought visitors.

A Hebrew child was born.

A wicked ruler killed Hebrew males again.

Ancient prophecies were fulfilled.

What happened there

changed our world,

our hopes,

our understanding,

and our world history.

And for many, it is still changing lives.

the Lord himself

shall give you a sign;

Behold, a virgin shall conceive,

and bear a son,

and shall call his name

Isaiah 7:14

Season’s Greetings!

2020 has been an unusual year, but we are grateful for all that God has provided.

While several in the family have experienced Covid19, we have been spared any serious illness.

We have had multiple opportunities to visit with family and friends despite the challenges, so we have not felt isolated.

Work-wise, my role with Wavechanger wrapped up in January so I spent the next months developing a online video course about Anger.    I also have a blog about Marriage that I write for.

Lou Ann enjoys her garden, gourmet cooking, her grandchildren, KC Chiefs football, and meets weekly with our close friends, community group and a Bible Study Fellowship group.  She continues to work remotely on a part-time basis for a counselor and a doctor.

We have done a lot of painting and minor upgrades around the house, updated our kitchen and added automation to lights and sprinklers.  Things are in better shape than ever….

We are still serving in RE|ENGAGE and work with multiple couples each year.  We love seeing marriages restored, relationships strengthened and divorce proceedings cancelled.

We were able to take several short trips this year to Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.

Thank you for your friendship, encouragement and prayers during this year of 2020!

Here are updates for our extended Family!

With kids from 10 to 19, they have a lot on their hands.

Will is a sophomore at Texas Tech. His freshman year was cut short and had to move home early.  He  is back in Lubbock and is thriving.  Word is that he made Dean’s List.  Still confirming.

Audrey is a junior at Lutheran South Academy where she swims, plays soccer, runs XC and participates in Track/Field.  She recently got her driver’s license and was a beautiful part of the HoCo court this year.

Cassidy is in the 8th grade, plays soccer and runs track.  She recently collided with a goalie and is resting up for 30 days to recover.  And she also proudly bagged a Red Stag.

Ellie is in the 4th grade,  she loves to sing and snuggle with Ruby and Hank.  She will play soccer again.

Ruby is the ruling cat in the house.

Hank is in charge of security, retrieving and inspecting the cat.

Jess is a co-host for a popular podcast about Parenting Teenagers and loves to garden.

Charlie oversees his family business, loves to hunt and is restoring a 1977 Jeep Cherokee.

Charlie and Jess celebrated their 21st anniversary this year!

Levi is 8 and in the 3rd grade.  He plays Club soccer and basketball.  He loves board and video games.  He’s a bit of a performer so I sometimes call him Elvis because my letters get mixed up in his name.

Toca is the newest member of the family.  He loves chewing, pulling on things and sitting in Sarah’s arms.

Mittens is the reclusive cat.  She loves hissing at strangers.
